How it works
A roofing quote-request service for the Portland, Oregon metro. It passes homeowner requests to independent, CCB-licensed roofing contractors and performs no roofing work itself.
Requests are handled across Portland, Beaverton, Gresham, Hillsboro and Lake Oswego in the Portland area.
What you get
Free Roofing Quote. Tell us about your roof and we pass your request to a local, CCB-licensed roofing contractor who can quote the work.
Step by step
Describe the roof
Enter the ZIP code, pick the kind of work, and say what you are seeing: a leak, wind damage, an old roof, or a quote you want to compare.
Your request goes to a roofer
We pass it to an independent, CCB-licensed roofing contractor who works in your part of the metro. We do no roofing ourselves.
The roofer inspects and bids
The contractor contacts you directly, looks at the roof and gives you a written bid with their own price and scope.
You look up the license and decide
Check the CCB number on the bid, compare it with any other bids you have, and hire them or not. There is no obligation.
Common questions
Is Portland Roof Pros a roofing company?
No. Portland Roof Pros is a referral service. It takes your request and passes it to an independent roofing contractor, who contacts you, inspects the roof and gives you their own bid. The contractor does the work and is responsible for it.
What does it cost to request a roofing quote?
Nothing. Sending a request is free, and you are under no obligation to hire the contractor who responds.
How do I check a roofing contractor in Oregon?
Anyone paid to do roofing in Oregon needs an active license with the Oregon Construction Contractors Board (CCB). Ask for the CCB number, which belongs on the bid and on the contractor's advertising, and look it up on the CCB license search before you sign anything.
Do I need a permit to replace my roof in Portland?
Usually not. The City of Portland lists reroofing a house with material of similar weight, including replacing sheathing, as work that needs no building permit. A permit is required to reroof in a Wildfire Zone, to reroof a townhouse, or to install building-integrated solar roofing. Other cities set their own rules, so ask that city's building division.
When is the best time of year to replace a roof in Portland?
Full replacements are easiest to schedule and to keep dry in the dry months, which is also when roofers are busiest. Leaks do not wait for summer: a repair or a temporary cover can be done in the wet season, and a contractor can tell you whether the rest can hold until dry weather.
What parts of the Portland area do you cover?
The Oregon side of the Portland metro: Portland, Beaverton, Hillsboro, Gresham, Lake Oswego, and nearby places including Tigard, Tualatin, West Linn, Milwaukie, Happy Valley, Oregon City, Troutdale and Fairview. Enter your ZIP code and the form will tell you. Vancouver and the rest of Washington are not covered.
Do you do moss removal or roof cleaning?
No. This site handles requests for roof replacement, roof repair, metal roofing and flat roofing only.
